Privacy Policy

In effect from 30 October 2026

What the enquiry form collects, how it reaches us, who can see it, how long we keep it, and what you can require us to do with it.

People contact Target C about things they have told no one else. A marriage they have doubts about. Money going missing at work. A relative who has stopped answering the phone. That is the standard this document has to meet, so it is written to be read rather than to be waved at.

Where it says we do something, we do it. Where something is limited, or outside our control, or has not been decided yet, it says that instead.

Who this policy is from

Target C Investigations and Forensics Pvt. Ltd., No. 24, Second Main, Gaurav Nagar, JP Nagar 7th Phase, Bengaluru 560078.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the Data Fiduciary for the information described here. In plain terms: we decide why your information is handled and how, and we are the ones answerable for it. You are the Data Principal — the person the information is about.

This policy covers two different things, and it says which is which throughout: information you send us through this website, and information that becomes part of a case file if you go on to engage us.

The Act and the rules made under it are being brought into force in stages. We are not waiting for that. The rights set out below are available to you now.

What the enquiry form collects

Five fields, and nothing else:

There is no account to create, no password, and no field that identifies you beyond what is listed above. The hint under the message box asks you to share only what you are comfortable putting in writing. That is deliberate advice, not a formality: you do not have to explain the whole matter to make contact, and you do not have to name anyone.

The form also carries one hidden field that no person ever sees or fills. It exists to catch automated spam, so that this site does not need a CAPTCHA standing between an anxious visitor and the way to reach us.

How your enquiry reaches us

This is the part most privacy policies are vague about, so here it is exactly.

This website has no database. There is no enquiry table, no admin panel and no stored copy of anything you type. What you enter into the form stays in your own browser until you choose to send it. The form then gives you two ways to send it, and the choice is yours.

Send by email. Your enquiry goes from your browser to the server that hosts this website. A short program on that server turns it into a single email addressed to ceo@targetc.in, the mailbox of our founder, Dr Revathi Sivakumar, and hands it to the server's mail system for delivery. The program does not save your enquiry, keep a copy of it, or write it to any file or database. The mail system holds the message only until it has been delivered. After that, the copy in that mailbox is the only one.

That mailbox is provided by Google, through Google Workspace. Google therefore stores the email on our behalf, as it does every email we send and receive. See Who can see it below.

The page confirms your enquiry as sent only once the server's mail system has accepted it for delivery. If it cannot be accepted, the page tells you straight away that it was not sent and gives you our phone number and WhatsApp instead.

Send on WhatsApp. This assembles what you typed into a message addressed to Target C's own WhatsApp number and opens WhatsApp. Nothing has been sent yet at that moment. You can read it, change it, or close it without sending. It reaches us only when you press send in WhatsApp yourself. This option needs JavaScript. If JavaScript is switched off in your browser, the button is not shown, and sending by email still works.

Two honest qualifications:

Like every web server, the one that hosts this website keeps a routine log of the requests it receives: the time, the page asked for, and the IP address the request came from. That log does not record anything you type into the form.

Either way, the enquiry travels from your device to us. No form-relay service, no marketing platform and no analytics provider sits in between holding a copy, and the agency that built this website holds no copy either.

What we use it for

To reply to you, to work out whether your matter is something we can genuinely help with, and to tell you honestly if it is not. If you go on to engage us, the information becomes part of the case file for that matter and is used to carry out the work you have asked for.

That is the whole list. We do not use enquiry details for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not profile you for advertising. No decision about your matter is made automatically by software; a person reads every enquiry.

Who can see it

Inside the firm: Dr Revathi Sivakumar, and the investigators assigned to your matter. Nobody else.

Outside the firm:

These are the only parties outside the firm that hold your information. Meta is involved only if you choose the WhatsApp option.

We do not sell, rent, trade, publish or share your information with any third party for any commercial purpose. There is no exception to that sentence.

We do not tell the subject of an investigation that an enquiry exists. For most people who contact us this is the single thing that matters most, so it is stated separately: we do not disclose your enquiry to the person it concerns, at any stage of a matter or after it closes. The only thing that displaces this is the paragraph below — a demand the law compels us to answer. Nothing else does: not the passage of time, not the closing of the file, and not a request from the subject.

Apart from the service providers and persons expressly described in this policy, we disclose enquiry or case information to another person only where a court, law-enforcement agency, regulator or applicable law lawfully requires us to do so. We will satisfy ourselves that the demand is lawful before complying, we will disclose only what is actually required, and where we are legally permitted to tell you it has happened, we will tell you.

How long we keep it

The Act requires us to erase personal data once the purpose it was given for has been served and no legal duty requires us to keep it. Two different clocks apply.

You can ask us to erase material sooner. See your rights below, including the one case where we may not be able to.

How it is protected

Access to enquiry and case material is limited to the people working on the matter. Case material is held securely and is not discussed outside the case team. Nothing about your matter is stored on this website, which removes an entire category of risk rather than managing it.

We will not tell you a system is impenetrable, because no honest firm can. What we can tell you is that we do not create copies we do not need, we do not hand your information to any service beyond those named in this policy, and we keep the number of people who can see it small.

If a breach affecting your personal data does occur, we will report it as the Act requires and inform you.

Cookies, fonts, and what this site loads

This website sets no cookies. Not for sessions, not for preferences, not for anything. There is no analytics on this site — no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no heatmap or session-recording tool, no advertising or remarketing tag of any kind. Nothing here identifies you, counts you, or follows you to another website. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Loading a page on this site makes no third-party requests at all. Everything a page needs — its typefaces, its stylesheet, its scripts and the animation library behind the motion — is served from this website itself. There is no Google Fonts, no public CDN, no embedded map, no video player, no social widget, and no font, icon or script fetched from anyone else's server. While you are reading, your browser is talking to this website and to nothing else.

This is a deliberate choice and it is more work than the alternative: linking to somebody else's copy of a font or a script is easier, and it also means that company's servers see your IP address and your browser identification on every page you open. For a firm whose visitors are frequently people who would rather not be observed looking, that was not an acceptable trade.

Two links on this site do lead off it — the WhatsApp button (wa.me) and the link to our founder's LinkedIn profile (linkedin.com). Neither loads anything into this page. They are ordinary links: nothing is sent to either company unless you choose to click, and if you do, you have left this site and are on theirs, under their terms.

If this ever changes — if analytics or any other third-party script is added — this clause will be rewritten before the change ships, not after.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you the following rights over information we hold about you. You can exercise any of them by contacting the Grievance Officer below.

We will act on a request as quickly as we can, and within any period prescribed under the Act and the rules made under it. If we need to confirm you are who you say you are before releasing information, we will ask for the least that will establish it, and we will not keep what you send for that purpose any longer than the check requires.

The Act also asks something of you: that a request or complaint you make is genuine, and not false or frivolous. We mention it because the Act does.

The consent you give on the form

The enquiry form asks you to tick a box before it will send. That tick means two specific things and nothing wider: that we may contact you about the enquiry you are making, and that we may handle the details you have given us as this policy describes.

It is not consent to marketing, it is not consent to share your details with anyone, and it does not roll over into anything else later. If we ever need to use your information for a purpose this policy does not cover, we will ask you again for that purpose, separately.

You can withdraw it whenever you want, by phone, email or post using the details below.

Enquiries that concern other people

An investigation almost always involves information about someone other than the client. That is the nature of the work, and it deserves saying openly rather than leaving between the lines.

We handle information about third parties on the lawful bases available to us and only to the extent the assignment actually requires. We expect a client to have a proper reason for asking, and we will discuss that reason with you at the outset. We do not accept instructions whose purpose is to harass, stalk, intimidate or endanger anyone, and we will decline or discontinue a matter if that is what it turns out to be.

If you believe Target C holds information about you as the subject of an enquiry, contact the Grievance Officer below. Please understand that we may be limited in what we can confirm or disclose, including by obligations of confidentiality and by law — but your request will be considered properly and you will get an answer.

Children

This website is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly accept enquiries from a child. Where a matter concerns a child — a missing minor, for instance — we take instructions from a parent or lawful guardian and handle the child's information under the additional protections the Act requires.

We do not track or behaviourally monitor children. As the cookies clause above says, we do not do that to anyone.

Grievance Officer

The Act requires us to publish the contact details of the person responsible for answering your questions and complaints about how your information is handled. Write to them about anything in this policy, to exercise any of the rights above, or to complain.

The Grievance Officer is Dr Revathi Sivakumar, Founder and CEO.

Please mark your message for the Grievance Officer so it is routed correctly. If you have raised something with us and are not satisfied with how it was handled, you may take the matter to the Data Protection Board of India, which is the authority established under the Act.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page. Where a change materially affects how enquiries or case material are handled — a new third party in the chain, a different retention period, anything that would have mattered to you when you decided to write to us — we will say plainly what changed rather than quietly replacing the text.
